Eligibility

The Scholars of the Future program recruits Computer Science students from under-represented groups, to give them early exposure to research and graduate studies. These students will also aid in increasing the number of underrepresented groups (e.g. African Americans, American Indians or Alaskan Natives, Hispanic Americans, and women) in Computer Science graduate programs. The application process requires the following information:

To participate in the Scholars of the Future, students must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Must have declared Computer Science as a major.
  • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Must register for 3 cr of undergraduate research or independent study.
  • Be willing to meet weekly with the group of Scholars.

Application Deadline: Aug 16th, 2007.
Notification of award: End of August, 2007 (or sooner, depending on applications).
